Honestly, who isn’t a fan of some awesome side scrolling space shooter action? Syder Arcade by Studio Evil looks like it just might be the fix you’ve been waiting for.

In classic style, Syder Arcade has you blasting your way through levels in several different classes of ships, taking down alien forces and battling massive ships. The game promises to be challenging and is designed to take you back to the good old days of intense and furious action. The game looks fantastic, as the graphics and particle effects are top notch and the vast vistas of space are very detailed. In motion, the game looks great and I’m sure you will agree. Moreover, the game is actually complete and ready for primetime, and even supports both PC and MAC operating systems. I can’t see a reason why it hasn’t been greenlit already!

Syder Arcade vista Syder Arcade: Blasting Through Space

Absolutely beautiful.

Syder Arcade simply plays great. Drifting through the wonderfully detailed vistas is a pleasure as you take on the masses of enemies coming your way. The controls are incredibly precise as well, helping you feel completely at ease even in the fast and furious battles that frequently occur. Syder Arcade also features a dual-directional scrolling mechanic that is relatively unique to current shmups. Most scrollers have you flying in a single direction, blasting your way through an enemy front. In Syder Arcade, you battle on both East and West fronts, so beware of getting sandwiched between a horde of enemies!
